The Games with Gold June 2019 lineup of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be announced in the coming days.
Microsoft hasn’t provided a set day or time to expect the announcement to be made, but between Tuesday and Thursday of this week seems like the right timeframe.
The Xbox Games with Gold May reveal was made in the final days of the month, so there’s no reason to believe Microsoft would change the habit now.
Nothing has been shared so far on the subject, although fans will be hoping for at least one AAA game to be part of the new lineup.
May’s selection of Xbox Live free games can be added to your digital library until the end of this month, before Microsoft’s big digital store refresh.
After this, they will be replaced by whatever new titles are announced by the tech giant this week.
So there are only a few days left to grab Marooners and Comic Jumper on Xbox One, while The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour will remain available until June 16.
The Marooners game description reads: “It’s time to mix up the fun in the party game extravaganza, Marooners. Join up to 6 of your friends on the couch or online, laugh sadistically at their misfortune, or even haunt and pester them after you die as you battle it out in 25 different games and arenas.
“The action is intense, switching between games when you least expect it. Run, jump and slap your way to victory!
The Comic Jumper Xbox 360 game description reads: “Jump into comic book adventure in the madcap Comic Jumper. In order to save his own poorly selling title, Captain Smiley must work-for-hire and earn money by fixing the problems within other comic books.
“Leap into the different genres of Fantasy, Silver Age, Modern and Manga and raise the funds necessary to get his series back up and running.”
The current Deals with Gold discounts will also be replaced very soon by Microsoft and is another bonus of having an XLG subscription.
But this week’s sale is a little a different as it’s been revealed that Xbox Backwards Compatibility titles are the main focus.
“The biggest Xbox Backward Compatibility Sale ever is going on now until 27 May and includes discounts on 200+ titles and up to 75% off,” Hryb revealed on Twitter this week.
The sale boasts top games from the Xbox 360, including Red Dead Redemption and Far Cry 3, among a long list of others.
These can all be found on the Xbox Game Store and come with varying discounts if you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
There are also Xbox One games that can be purchased at discounted prices on the Xbox Game Store too.
This includes discounts on No Man’s Sky, Just Cause 4, Darkest Dungeon, Conan Exiles, Overcooked! 2 and What Remains of Edith Finch.
Microsoft could also announce more news concerning Games with Gold during their E3 2019 conference.
It’s unclear at this time if Microsoft will be making any big changes to Xbox Live Gold to help support the launch of the Project xCloud streaming service later this year.
But if any exciting plans are being worked on, you can be positive they’ll be brought up next month.
