Square Enix news: Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Avengers release update, Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC

Square Enix could share some exciting Final Fantasy 7 Remake news during E3 2019 that extends beyond just showing new gameplay.

We already know that FF7 will be part of the company’s E3 conference, thanks to a recent Sony State of Play event.

So far, fans have seen what the early part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be like, with plenty to look forward to.

But what would happen if Square Enix provided an actual demo for PS4 gamers to try out, instead of just more footage?

That’s what a recent leak suggests might happen during June 2019, although this remains a rumour for now.

The alleged Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo will be made available to those PS4 gamers who have a PS Plus subscription.

The demo would be available to download after E3 2019 ends and would also be playable on the Expo show floor.

According to the online post, the full game will be split into two parts, offer a seamless overworld map divided into different zones, as well as a selection of classic vehicles to use.

And as good as this rumour sounds, there is plenty to suggest that Square Enix will not be releasing FF7 or the new Avengers Project during 2019.

The Square Enix Avengers game hasn’t been seen since it was first announced back in January 2017.

And new Square Enix financial results suggest that Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Avengers project won’t be out till at least April 2020.

This is due to Square cutting its sales and income forecast for the current fiscal year, which finishes on March 31 2020.

Meanwhile, the publisher’s financial forecast for the following fiscal year has ballooned, suggesting that at least one major game will be launched during that time.

Square Enix is also expected to share more news about Kingdom Hearts 3 during their E3 showcase.

Speaking to Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura gave an update on Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC.

Nomura-san said more news on the Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC would be announced: “around the time it rains a lot.”

The rainy season in Japan starts early June, so it sounds like an update on the upcoming download could also be provided at Square Enix’s E3 event.

The launch of Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC will be seen as the final phase in the game’s development cycle, which has lasted a decade.
