Sky now offers TV and broadband at a ridiculously low price but there is a catch

Sky is offering customers something completely new with the launch of its latest Essentials bundle.

This cheaper package includes TV, broadband and a home phone line for £26 per month with Sky even confirming that the price will be guaranteed for the next three years.

The Essentials bundle features unlimited broadband, free UK calls and a Sky box which allows users to store 185 hours of content and record a show whilst they watch another.

Sky customers that fancy this offer simply need to pay a £25 upfront fee and be prepared to sign up to an 18-month contract.

The satellite firm says its Sky Essentials bundle reflects its commitment to offering great value, with a simple, straightforward package and it’s certainly a cheap way of getting TV and broadband into your home.

However, before you sign up to this bundle, it’s worth taking note of a few things.

Firstly, the broadband Sky is offering with its Essentials bundle only brings average speeds of 11Mbps into your home which should be ok for low-use households but might not keep pace if you want to stream 4K content or download the latest console titles.

Then there’s the set-top box as this deal only includes Sky’s older + device and not the latest Q model.

There is a big difference between these gadgets with Sky Q offering more features such as voice control and being able to record more shows at once.

Sky is also stating that no extra channel will be included in the Essentials bundle so you’ll need to add things like Entertainment, Sports and Cinema at an extra cost.

Although this new bundle won’t suit everyone it does offer a very low-cost way of getting broadband, TV and phone you just need to aware of its limitations before hitting the buy button.

This new service has been announced as Sky has revealed some bonus content for free.

This update means Sky fans can get access to Box Sets or Ultimate On Demand without having to pay the usual fees.

The offer began on May 25 and runs until June 9 meaning the content is available over the half-term and May bank holiday.

The first season of over 30 of Sky’s best box sets will be available on demand to customers, including the latest UK and US dramas, all-time classics and comedies.

HERE’S SOME OF THE BOXSETS THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE
