PS Plus June 2019 free games UPDATE following shock PS4 PlayStation Store rumours

It won’t be long before we learn about the new PS Plus June 2019 games being planned by Sony PlayStation.

The company has yet to share what new PS4 games will be available to download for free, starting next month.

But we do know the date and time when this announcement will be made.

Based on how Sony has handled its PlayStation Plus scheduling in 2019, the news should drop on Wednesday, May 29, around 4:30pm in the UK.

The tech giant is then expected to release the new free PS4 games for download the following week.

This will happen on Tuesday, June 4, as part of a much more extensive PlayStation Store refresh.

Until then, Overcooked! And What Remains of Edith Finch will remain available as free PS4 game downloads for PS Plus subscribers.

So what is available to PlayStation Plus subscribers today, before the big June 2019 announcement?

The good news is that Sony has updated its PlayStation Store with new exclusive bundles.

Fans of the free-to-play Armoured Warfare have access to a new bundle which will help boost their game.

The new AW free bundle contains the IT-1 Tier 5 Tank Destroyer along with 3 Platinum Loot Crates, seven days of Premium Time and 1.000 Gold.

The IT-1 is a Tier 5 Premium vehicle, consisting of a modified T-62 chassis with a Drakon ATGM launcher on top of it, featuring substantial firepower and protection as well as a unique reloading animation.

PS Plus gamers can also enjoy the new Dauntless Model P Weapon Pack, which includes a list of handy items for tackling behemoths.

The Ostian steel set comes with the following items included: Ostian Chain Blades, Repeaters, Falchion, War Axe, War Hammer, and War Pike.

A new Double Discount sale has also begun on the PS Store, bringing with it reduced prices on AAA games.

This includes popular titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Cities Skylines and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

And if you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription during May 2019, you can get all these games with double the discount. As an example, NBA 2K19 currently has 34% off for everyone but doubles to 68% if you have an active PS Plus subscription.

It appears that the Double Discount sale is only available in the United States, for now; however, there is an “Exclusive Discounts” Sale currently being held in Europe.

There are also rumours this week that there could be another massive PS Plus exclusive coming to the PlayStation Store in June. An alleged Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo will be made available after E3 2019, according to a new leak.

The new demo will be announced during the Square Enix E3 showcase and will also be playable on the Expo Show floor.

This remains a rumour for now and should be taken with a big pinch of salt for now. But there is a good chance that a lot of new demos and surprise betas will be released and announced during E3 2019.

Sony isn’t hosting their own conference this year, so most of this will be revealed via the big publishers, such as Bethesda, Square Enix and Ubisoft.

And whatever does and doesn’t get announced during E3 2019, there will always be new free games to add to your PS Plus collection come June.
