Piers Morgan: Star admits he said f*** for the 'first time' on TV after Mel B revelation

Piers Morgan, 54, told his 6.65 million Twitter followers he slipped up by saying “f***” while recording the latest episode of his show Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. The Good Morning Britain star appeared to be stunned to realise the moment marked the first time he had uttered the expletive on TV. Piers swore in response to a revelation from his guest Mel B, 43, who opened up about her romance with Eddie Murphy, 58. Their conversation about the actor prompted the host to reference one of his most famous quotes from the movie Beverley Hills Cop: “Get the f*** out of here.”

The outspoken presenter reflected on the moment in a tweet while the episode was being aired on ITV, writing: “That’s the first time I’ve ever said the F-word on television…”, alongside a flushed face emoji.

Piers’ fans flocked to the comments section to air their thoughts on his rude on-screen remark.

One cheeky follower wrote: “I’ve said the f-word many times when you’re on television.”

Another quipped: “And you expect your twitter followers to be shocked? Lol.”

A third added: “You rude brute.”

Others opted to praise Piers about the show, with one writing: “Absolutely gripped. Such courage. Seeing Mel B in a new light. Xx.”

Another replied: “It was a great show tonight! I really enjoyed it.”

A Twitter user added: “Amazing interview!!! So much respect for Mel B.”

Elsewhere, Piers showed his cheeky side during an appearance on The One Show as he agreed with presenter Angela Scanlon, 35, that there may be some “sexual tension” between himself and co-host Susanna Reid, 48.

The journalist’s comment came after the BBC programme showed a montage of Susanna rolling her eyes and shooting despairing glances at the camera while filming Good Morning Britain.

Speaking about her eye rolls, Piers said: “It’s not really a negative thing,”

“I think it’s more like, ‘The lady doth protest too much.’

“I think there’s like a simmering thing with Susanna,” he added, “Where the eye roll is sort of pretending—“

In response, Angela interjected: “It’s sexual tension.”

Joining in on the risqué joke, Piers quipped: “I think so, yeah.

“Is it that obvious?”

He then gestured to the guest host: “You said the words, not me.”

Piers Morgan’s Life Stories with Mel B is available to watch now on the ITV Hub.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
