Louise Redknapp: Jamie Redknapp’s ex talks being ‘in love’ in ‘deeply personal’ post

Stretch singer Louise Redknapp, 44, took to Instagram to give her 633,000 followers a preview of her new single Small Talk. The song includes the lyrics: “We used to be in love, we used to be inseparable. Now it’s a little awkward, it’s like we never met before. It’s almost like we’re strangers. Remember when we had it all? We used to dream big but now it’s just small talk.”

Louise said the song was a “personal favourite” from her album Heavy Love and includes “deeply personal lyrics”.

She wrote: “Small Talk is OUT NOW! This is the second song from my new album ‘Heavy Love’.

“This song is a personal favourite of mine with deeply personal lyrics that I know a lot of you can relate to x.”

Many of her fans flocked to her page to share their thoughts on the track.

One user commented: “Love it Louise! Can’t wait for the album and the tour!”

A second penned: “I really love this song. The new album is sounding good.”

A third made a reference to Louise’s ex, adding: “Wonder if Jamie listens to this at night before bed.”

Ahead of releasing a snippet of the song, Louise shared a picture highlighting the lyrics.

This prompted many of her fans to believe the song was a hint about her relationship with Jamie after their split.

One fan wrote: “Sounds like you miss Jamie.”

A second commented: “If you want him back fight for him.”

Louise and Jamie divorced back in 2017 after 19 years of marriage.

The former couple share two children together Charley, 14, and Beau, 10.

Louise has since insisted she is open to date, but said she is quite “reserved” when it comes to talking to men.

She told YOU Magazine: “I think I have issues. I’m quite reserved.

“I’m not that person on the dancefloor, flirting with all the men. I’m more likely to go and sit in the corner.”
