Sky TV FREE treat as customers get this extra bonus from TODAY

There’s some good news for Sky TV customers today with the satellite firm revealing some bonus content for free.

Sky revealed the news of this update earlier this month but the day has now come where the free extras go live.

This update means Sky fans can get access to Box Sets or Ultimate On Demand without having to pay the usual fees.

The offer begins today and runs until June 9 meaning the content is available over the half-term and May bank holiday.

The first season of over 30 of Sky’s best box sets will be available on demand to customers, including the latest UK and US dramas, all-time classics and comedies.

HERE’S SOME OF THE BOXSETS THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE

The Sopranos • The Wire • Big Little Lies • Westworld • Sex & The City • Billions • The Affair • Dexter • Twin Peaks • 30 Rock • Chicago Fire • S.W.A.T • Seal Team • Nashville • Riviera • The Tunnel • Tin Star • Bulletproof • Delicious • Britannia • Save Me • Sick Note.

The news of this free content comes as Sky has just revealed an update to its broadband service.

This upgrade features improved connections and better parental controls.

Sky says that it will now monitor customers’ broadband through daily tests.

If things then go wrong a text will instantly be sent to your phone to explain what’s happening with complimentary engineer visits, including evenings and weekends, then organised.

If you have Sky Mobile there’s an added bonus as with the additional insurance benefit if your line falters as you’ll instantly be given an extra 2GB of data in your Sky Mobile Piggybank.

For parents, there’s also some handy changes which include the launch of the new buddy app.

This update allows parents to take full control of what’s being viewed online with a swathe of settings aimed at keeping kids safe and reducing screen time.

The app allows certain devices to only access the web at particular times and it can even block specific applications, such as Instagram or YouTube, from being used.

With a simple tap on the screen, the broadband can also be paused and parents can also see how the devices are being used, as well as being able to review usage history.
