Melania Trump to LEAVE son Barron at home during state visit to UK – but Ivanka WILL go

The state visit scheduled next month is said to be a family affair with several of the US President’s children and their spouses joining him in the UK. However, the youngest of Trump’s children, Barron will not be joining them to meet the Queen. Melania will be joining him as well as First Daughter Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner.

Trump’s oldest son, Donald Jr., his youngest daughter Tiffany, his other son Eric Trump and his wife Laura will also be joining him.

During the three-day visit marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day, Trump will be meeting the Royal Family.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are also expected to meet the Trumps and their spouses.

Prince Charles and Camilla will be reportedly hosting a tea for Trump and Melania at Clarence House, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Trumps will also enjoy a Buckingham Palace banquet put on by the Queen on June 3.

White House correspondent for the New York Times Maggie Habermas tweeted this week: “POTUS state visit to the UK is set to include not just the president’s children who work in the White House, but also his other adult children, per multiple people familiar with planning.”

Final details are yet to be confirmed by the White House and Buckingham Palace.

It will be the first time Prince Charles will meet with Trump who both have conflicting views on climate change and the environment.

The Trumps will not be staying at Buckingham Palace due to renovations unlike former US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle in 2011.

Currently, there is uncertainty surrounding whether Trump will meet with Theresa May who stated she will step down as leader of the Tory party on June 7.

It is said Trump and the Prime Minister were expected to hold a joint press conference.

In a statement, the White House said: “President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump accepted the invitation from Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to visit the United Kingdom from June 3 to 5, 2019.

“This state visit will reaffirm the steadfast and special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
