Chelsea transfer news: Jorginho Juventus switch is possible says agent 'Door remains open’

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been linked with a move to Juventus at the same time as Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has become a front-runner for the soon-to-be vacant job in Turin.

Sarri’s position as manager at Chelsea has been under threat for quite some time as a result of his deteriorating relationship with the club’s fans.

The 60-year-old Italian took over as manager of Chelsea last summer after having led Napoli to two second-place finishes in his three seasons in charge.

Along with his appointment to the London club, Jorginho also made the switch from Napoli to Chelsea in a deal worth £50million.

And Jorginho’s agent has spoken about his client being linked to Juventus.

“Juve? I don’t know,” Joao Santos said to Italian Radio station Radio Marte.

“Chelsea are focused on the Europa League final at the moment.

“Jorginho had a terrific season, he played in 50 games and was very good.

“Even if Jorginho does have Napoli ties, he can’t say that he won’t play for a certain team because of this.

“He is a professional so it’s normal that the door remains open for Juve.”

Since making the move to England Jorginho has come under criticism from Blues fans for failing to live up to his price tag, with the 27-year-old Italian failing to provide a single assist in the Premier League last season.

In his 37 league games for Chelsea Jorginho made 3,118 passes without an assist and scored two goals from 19 shots – he totalled seven shots on target throughout the season.

In a recent interview Jorginho revealed he would be surprised if Sarri made the switch to Juventus.

“If he [Sarri] went to Juve I would follow him? I have a four-year contract with Chelsea,” Jorginho said to Sky Sports.

“I would be surprised by his farewell.

“We came third in the Premier team behind City and Liverpool, we are in the final of the Europa League and we got to the League Cup final: the season is positive.”
