Avengers Endgame: Will the NEW Marvel TV shows be LINKED to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe concluded the 10-year-long ‘infinity saga’ which began with the first Iron Man film in 2009. Avengers: Endgame was one of the most expansive cinematic events in film history, and marks a new beginning for Marvel. Disney executives are now preparing to expand the reach of their most successful universe to the small screen via the incoming Disney+ service.

Are the new Marvel TV shows linked to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

The next phase of Marvel production we have confirmed is one film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and a selection of TV shows.

Marvel’s television offerings come exclusively from new streaming platform Disney+, due to debut later this year.

Disney has been somewhat tight-lipped about the incoming shows, which are all confirmed as limited series.

Each of the shows offered by Disney+ will feature the characters and their original actors from the film series.

Here is a current list of the upcoming Disney+ television shows:

– Loki tv series (starring Tom Hiddleston)

– Hawkeye (starring Jeremy Renner)

– Scarlet Witch and the Vision (Starring Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany)

– Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan)

These television shows are expected to follow on from the films.

In the case of Loki, who died in Infinity War, many people believe the show will take place after he escapes the clutches of the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame’s time-heist.

Marvel already had a host of critically-acclaimed Netflix shows in the Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Punisher series.

These were not renewed on the streaming platform, and whether Disney plans to take them up for Disney+ remains to be seen.

Marvel released a statement after Daredevil was cancelled, and hinted the series could return.

They said: “From the moment of young Matt’s first act of heroism to the birth of Page, Murdock, & Nelson, it has been an unbelievable journey.

“We look forward to more adventures with the Man without Fear in the future.”

This leaves open the possibility the Netflix properties could come to Disney+, and Disney has hinted they could take place in the same timeline.
