Emmerdale spoilers: Jamie Tate to LEAVE village in Kim Tate twist?

Over the coming Emmerdale episodes, Kim (played by Claire King) is set to do all it takes to keep her recently-reunited son Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) in the village.

He has been working as a trainee at the vets after being given a chance by Kim’s friend Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and has also been living with her in the ITV soap.

In a desperate attempt to keep her son nearby, she enlists Rhona’s help again to give Jamie a reason to stay.

However, she will be left wondering what to do after she angered co-workers Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) being giving him a role in the first place.

She will also want him to move into Home Farm and live with her, but could she be left heartbroken as he leaves instead?

He has so far given his mum the cold shoulder after he found out she had misled him in order to give her a chance to be reunited with her son.

After just a month in the village, could he leave already?

It appears he could be around for a while after actor Alexander’s comments at an Emmerdale press event: “I wouldn’t imagine he sees [the village] as home, but he remembers snippets.

“I think it was just that the job vacancy came up and he saw an opportunity and wanted to go. He thought Kim was in prison so it seemed like a great opportunity, but then it turns out differently than he was expecting.

“Claire [King] is lovely and the Emmerdale team are so wonderful. It’s such a welcoming environment to come into. I was told at my induction that everyone is really nice and I was like, ‘Everyone says that!’

“But genuinely, everyone is so lovely.

“To come into the family, you’re welcomed straight away and Claire has been a massive help, holding my hand the whole way through.”

Fans have seen Jamie acting suspiciously lately, and they believe he could be in contact with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

As he was leaving Home Farm, he rejected a call from an unknown number and viewers caught a glimpse at his phone to discover he had 12 missed calls.

When the missed calls were revealed, some viewers took to Twitter to comment on Jamie’s suspicious behaviour.

“Did anyone else notice Jamie having missed calls from an unknown number? It’s Joe Tate!!! He’s coming home!” commented one.

Another added: “I also wonder if it’s Joe who’s calling Jamie and maybe they’re working together in some way to bring down Kim because no one might think they would be working together. However now that Jamie is in Emmerdale maybe his agenda has changed.”

One reason for him to stay is his potential romance with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

With all that’s going on with the Dingles with Lisa’s (Jane Cox) impending death and her wedding to Zak (Steve Halliwell) and the history between the Dingles and the Tates, it may not work out though.

Meanwhile, Lisa is set to reveal a secret to Belle in an emotional letter before she dies.

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
