Emmerdale spoilers: Lisa Dingle secret revealed to Belle in touching letter?

Emmerdale viewers were left utterly shocked when Lisa Dingle (played by Jane Cox) returned to the screen only to announce how she was dying from a terminal illness.

In heartbreaking scenes with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) during the International Women’s Day special episode in March, she explained how time wasn’t on her side.

More recently, she and Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) returned to the village and the rest of the Dingle clan were told about Lisa dying.

Determined to make the most of the rest of her life, Lisa and Zak have decided to marry one another again.

But during tonight’s episode, those watching at home saw the matriarch breakdown when she realised she would be leaving her daughter Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) behind.

In a touching tribute, she sat at the kitchen table in Wishing Well Cottage with Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) and constructed letters for Belle and several other family members, which they would be given following her funeral.

Following the credits, viewers saw Lisa read the final sentence from one of the letters: “Until we meet again, all my love Lisa.”

Turning to Lydia, she clarified: “No one else knows about these, I want it to stay that way, until after the funeral. Can you do that for me?”

Whilst it can be suggested she has written Belle a letter, who else has she left one for?

The way it was signed off with ‘All my love Lisa’ suggests another family member will be receiving one, and what could they say exactly?

Letters are a moving way for someone to express their feelings and thoughts, could Lisa have been harbouring a secret for all these years she now feels the need to speak out about?

Tomorrow night during the soaps double bill, Lisa and Zak are due to walk down the aisle and tie the knot.

However, according to official soap spoilers, their dream day doesn’t go according to plan.

Elsewhere in the village, there could be heartbreak for Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) later this summer.

It comes after This Morning spoke to a few of Emmerdale’s cast members yesterday and actress Nicola spoke out about her character’s future storyline.

Discussing Nicola and husband Jimmy King’s (Nick Miles) turbulent relationship, she teased some upcoming “shade”.

Meanwhile, there is the possibility Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Barton (Natalie J. Robb) could be torn apart.

After several recent scenes have show friction between the pair, actor Jeff revealed: “I think it’s going to be all okay. Cain and Moira are solid as a rock.

“If anything unusual happens then that’s news to me. Yeah. I think Cain and Moira are quite solid.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
