Game of Thrones survivors can still DIE in last ASOIAF books according to George RR Martin

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES ENDING AHEAD. Despite all the major character deaths over eight seasons of Game of Thrones, there was still a good number left still alive. They are Jon Snow, Bran Stark, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Samwell Tarly, Brienne of Tarth, Gendry Baratheon, Grey Worm, Davos Seaworth, Podrick Payne, Tormund Giantsbane and Bronn. And while the major plot points are all George RR Martin’s plans for his final two books in A Song of Ice and Fire, who survives The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring could change.

Martin said: “But on certain secondary characters there may be big differences.”

While he told Rolling Stone: “The major points of the ending will be things I told them five or six years ago.

“But there may also be changes, and there’ll be a lot added.”

So just who does Martin include among the secondary characters in such a huge cast?

Well, certainly not the four surviving Starks, including Jon and presumably Tyrion and Samwell.

But as for the other survivors, perhaps they will meet their fates in Martin’s novels despite surviving the epic TV series?

And who knows, maybe the reception of the last season, which has received disappointment from some fans, will influence Martin’s plans for The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring?

Fans will have to keep their fingers crossed for their favourite characters when those novels finally hit bookstores.
