The 64th Eurovision Song Contest is going to be kicking off with the final 26 nations battling it out to be crowned the winner. Eurovision 2019 will be held at the Tel Aviv Expo in Israel after Netta lifted the trophy in 2018 with her song TOY. What time is the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 on tonight?

Eurovision 2019 will be starting tonight (Saturday, May 18) at 8pm BST in the UK.

BBC One will be broadcasting the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the UK from 8pm.

Those in the UK can watch the competition online via the BBC iPlayer on a number of different devices including mobiles and tablets.

While the grand final can also be watched live on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, if you’re on the continent, the Eurovision Song Contest will be starting at 9pm Central European Standard Time (CEST).

If you’re in the host nation Israel, this will be 10pm, which is currently two hours ahead of the UK.

Unfortunately, those in the US can’t watch the song contest this year after American network Logo TV decided to not longer broadcast the show, according to Deadline.

Logo TV had been broadcasting the annual music competition in America since 2016.

A total of 26 countries will be performing in the Eurovision 2019 grand final.

The nations are comprised of the 20 entries who made it through the semi-finals held during the week.

Meanwhile, the host nation Israel and the Big Five: the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain automatically qualify for the finals.

Once all the acts have performed, the voting lines will be thrown open for 15 minutes to allow audiences to choose their favourite nation.

Along with the competing nations singing their Eurovision entries, there will also be a range of performances from other stars during the evening.

Madonna is confirmed to be providing the halftime entertainment following much controversy and speculation over whether she would take to the stage.

Reigning Eurovision champion Netta Barzilai is going to be doing a brand new arrangement of her 2018 winning song TOY.

She has already performed during the semi-finals with many being surprised by her new version of the quirky song.

Also taking to the stage will be Israel’s 1998 champion Dana International, who sang a special rendition of Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are in the semi-finals this week.
