Nick Kyrgios picks up CHAIR, throws it on court, gets DISQUALIFIED in Italian Open chaos

The Australian had fought back to level the match against Casper Ruud at one set all and was break up in the third set.

But down break point, Kyrgios framed a forehand wide to hand back the break to Ruud.

Kyrgios then turned his ire at the crowd before slamming his racket to the floor amid a flurry of swear words.

He then kicked a water bottle and picked up a nearby stool and threw it across the court.

Kyrgios had received multiple code violations earlier in the match and the umpire handed him a game penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.

He then packed his bag and walked off the court leading to him being defaulted from the match.

Amazon Prime pundits Robbie Koenig and Mark Petchey watched on in disbelief at Kyrgios’ actions.

Koenig said: “We’ve seen him destroy his rackets on a few occasions. But look at this. Can you believe it?

“Is he walking off the court? Looks like he has packed his bag.

A puzzled Petchey responded: “I guess he got defaulted. It is going to be a riot out there.”

Koenig then picked up the mic and said: “The fans are telling him to get back on the court. Incredible scenes. Absolutely crazy scenes.

“I guess crazy and Nick Kyrgios in the same sentence does actually make sense.”
