Avengers Endgame SHOCK: Captain America RETURN for Loki series teased by directors

Before Avengers Endgame was released, a Loki miniseries was announced for the upcoming streaming service Disney+. Marvel fans were puzzled as to just what the show could be about considering Hiddleston’s god of mischief was strangled to death by Thanos in Avengers Infinity War’s opening scene. However, when Avengers Endgame was released we saw a new timeline created during the Time Heist section in 2012 New York. Tony Stark (from 2023) managed to obtain the Tesseract, aka the Space Stone, in a suitcase but was barged out the way by the Hulk.

The case sprung open and the Space Stone went flying before an arrested Loki quickly picked it up and teleported himself out of there.

Now that didn’t happen in the original timeline and in this new one, Thanos never initiated the snap in Avengers Infinity War since he left alternate 2014 and died in the prime timeline’s 2023.

This means that in this new reality, Loki never died.

So perhaps this will be the focus of the Disney+ series.

And now the Russo Brothers have teased that Captain America may be seen chasing this alternate Loki in the miniseries, on the super soldier’s journey through time returning the Infinity Stones.

Speaking with Business Insider, the directors said of Cap: “The intent was that he was going to correct the past timelines at the point that the stones left.

“Loki, when he teleports away with the [Space] Stone, would create his own timeline.

“It gets very complicated, but it would be impossible for [Cap] to rectify the timeline unless he found Loki.”

They added: “The minute that Loki does something as dramatic as take the Space Stone, he creates a branched reality.

“We’re dealing with this idea of multiverses and branched realities, so there are many realities.”

Perhaps this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers then?

Avengers Endgame is out now.
