Amal Clooney: George Clooney's wife WOWS in stunning gown amid Archie godparent revelation

Amal Clooney, 41, oozed glamour on the red carpet as she posed alongside her house at the Catch-22 premiere at The Vue cinema in Westfield, London.

The international law and human rights lawyer looked incredible at the bash in a stunning black sequinned gown which boasted a gold bodice.

From her waist, her ensemble fell into a black embellished skirt which certainly sparkled in the light of the cameras.

The strapless number showed off Amal’s toned arms and incredibly slender curves.

She teamed her look with a pair of black court heels, and accessorised with a matching black clutch bag.

Amal wore her luscious raven locks in bouncy waves which cascaded down her shoulder.

The star cosied up to her husband, George Clooney, 58, who looked dapper in an all-black suit for his big night.

The parents of twins, Alexander and Ella, who turn two next month, were also joined by Amal’s mum, Baria Aladdin, for the big night.

She stood out in a green look, complete with a stunning coat and emerald necklace to match her colour scheme.

Meanwhile, George now shares his birthday with Baby Sussex, named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born on Monday, May 6.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s newborn is in need of some godparents, and George and Amal have been in the running or a while.

The A-List pair attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding back in May 2018 and have remained close friends for a while.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week, George spoke out about whether he would be the godfather to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s newborn.

“That would be a bad idea,” he said. “I shouldn’t be the godfather. I’m a father of twins I can barely do that.”

When asked if he would turn down the role if they offered it to him, George replied: “I’m not going to be the godfather. I promise you that. I’m fairly sure.”

He said he “shouldn’t be anyone’s godfather” and revealed strangers even ask him to take on the role.

George also addressed Archie having the same birthday as him and joked: “Yeah, that kid stole my thunder.”

Back in February, his spouse Amal was one of Meghan’s guests at her baby shower held in New York.

The royal couple also visited George and Amal, who are parents to twins Alexander and Ella, who turn two in June, at their Lake Como home last summer.

Harry and Meghan gave the world glimpse of Archie last Wednesday, in a photocall in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
