The 51-year-old James Bond star has been shooting in Jamaica, but allegedly has injured himself during an action scene.
According to The Sun’s Bond 25 insider, Craig hurt his ankle and has been flown to the US for X-rays which has supposedly seen filming at Pinewood Studios cancelled for now.
The source said: “Daniel was suited and booted for one of the last scenes in Jamaica.
“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly.”
The insider added: “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle.
“As you’d expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened. He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration.”
“Daniel flew out of Jamaica for the US and has already seen a specialist.
“In a pure coincidence, it’s the same surgeon who treated Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane. He’s hoping it won’t delay things for too long.”
BOND 25 STAR ADMIRES DANIEL CRAIG’S ‘UNCOMPROMISING NATURE’
Nevertheless, this should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Felix Leiter actor Jeffrey Wright has shared pictures of himself walking around London’s Pinewood Studios.
Of course, it’s possible that Wright may shoot scenes that don’t include Craig, as he did in previous 007 movies.
But it does seem a little unlikely for him to be there if filming at Pinewood has been supposedly suspended.
Meanwhile, there’s also rumours that Bond 25’s script is going through “endless rewrites”.
Reliable Bond insider Baz Bamigboye’s source said: “[Waller-Bridge is] writing a re-write of a re-write.
“Daniel’s writing. Cary’s writing. The crew reckon they’re working on a well-polished s*** show.
“They have an outline of plot, but dialogue is all last-minute. It’s not the way to make a movie. I would imagine they’ll sort it out in the cutting room.
“That’s where most movies get made anyway. But you’d think the Bond lot would be more together.”
Bond 25 is released in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
