Gogglebox favourite Sophie Sandiford, 23, told her 25,000 Twitter followers she was experiencing tonsillitis, but said her day got worse after crashing her car. She wrote: “Having tonsillitis is a hoot to say the least, but reversing my car into a concrete post at the doctors has really made my day #givemeabreak.” The reality star added a series of emojis to her post including a crying with laughter and weary face. Sophie’s tweet prompted many of her social media fans to leave a comment.
One user wrote: “Have to say your laugh is one of the best things on Gogglebox. A bit like tonsillitis… infectious.”
A second commented: “Hope ur feeling better soon hun X.”(sic)
A third penned: “Let’s hope your bad luck doesn’t come in threes. Get better soon.”
Two days after, Sophie reassured her fans she was feeling better in a post about the show.
She commented: “After being poorly I am so glad it’s Friday!
“Can’t wait to plonk myself in front of the box for #gogglebox #goggleboxfriday.”
Sophie and her sibling Peter, 25, joined the award-winning show last year and have become firm favourites ever since.
The duo were reportedly scouted for the show after Pete starred in two adverts for Talk Talk’s This Stuff Matters campaign.
During a recent episode, Pete left his sister and viewers laughing after dressing up as Kylie Minogue.
Viewers witnessed Pete telling his sister about a risqué outfit he planned to wear to a fancy dress party.
From outside the living room, he could be heard saying: “I’ve got the a*** so I thought, why not?”
But insisting he was having problems with the skimpy piece, he added: “I don’t think I’m going to be able to come in front first because it will reveal a bit too much if I’m honest.”
Pete then entered the room showcasing his bottom squeezed into some denim hot pants.
As Sophie burst into fits of laughter, Pete responded: “Look at the a*** on these honestly. I can’t wear them out, can I?”
“I think I’ve gone a bit too far,” he added.
Sophie later told her fans she was still having nightmares about her brother’s choice of outfit.
A Twitter user commented: “@PeteandSophie I won’t sleep for weeks you a******** after that Kylie impression [crying with laughter emojis].”
Sophie replied: “I’m still having nightmares Dev.”
