PS Plus Free Games UPDATE, PS4 rewards and latest PlayStation Store deals

The countdown is on for the release of the official PS Plus May 2019 games from Sony PlayStation.

The tech giant has confirmed that they will be launching the new PS4 selection on Tuesday, May 7, which is a longer wait than usual.

This was down to when the days fell in April and how Sony likes to keep to a tight schedule for their PlayStation Store refreshes.

Fans have little over 24-hours before they can download What Remains of Edith Finch and Overcooked.

And that also means there is just a short amount of time to claim both Conan Exiles and The Surge on PS4 and PS4 Pro.

Before that all starts to happen later this week, there are also a few other PS Plus rewards to check out.

For anyone hoping to tune in for the last games in the Premier League schedule, fans have an excellent offer to look over.

If you have a PS Plus account and live in the UK, you can head over to the official PlayStation rewards page to collect some interesting trial packages.

This includes a NOW TV Sky Sports Week Pass and a 50% off NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass.

Sadly, these deals can only be used in the UK, but can both provide the Sports action you’ve been looking for.

So what about if you’re based in North America and don’t have access to these PlayStation Plus deals?

Well, it just so happens that a special PS Plus Sale is ongoing via the United States PlayStation Store.

Golden Week has been running for a little while now and will be ending officially on Tuesday, May 7.

Deals include discounts for Resident Evil 2, Jump Force and Kingdom Hearts III – all offering up to 65 per cent off.

And the good news is that if you’re a PS Plus member, you can save up to 75 per cent.

As you might expect, there are tons of other games and DLC packages that can be bought right now for a discount on the PlayStation Store.

So it’s certainly worth checking out what is on offer before it all ends later this week.

When it comes to new games being released this week on the PlayStation Store, there isn’t a huge selection to choose from.

Some fans are highlighting Shakedown Hawaii as the game to watch, as it’s a digital cross-buy title for PS4 and PS Vita.

Here’s the description for those who don’t know much about the new Vita and PS4 release, with the official description explaining: “Shakedown: Hawaii follows three protagonists through a 16-bit open world, filled with missions, sidequests, arcade challenges, and empire building.

“Build your own ‘legitimate’ corporation by sabotaging competitors, ‘re-zoning’ land, and more. The entire island is up for grabs… with the right business model.”

New games for the Vita aren’t coming in their droves and it just so happens that three new games are being released this week for the handheld.
