Avengers Endgame deleted scene: Katherine Langford CUT after test screening in THIS role

Marvel fans may have been wondering where Katherine Langford was in Avengers Endgame. Well, now the film’s directors have revealed what her role was and why they cut her out. It turns out Langford played an older version of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts’ daughter Morgan – as rumoured – who was portrayed as a four-year-old by Alexandra Rachael Rabe. The Russo Brothers explained how originally when Iron Man snapped his fingers he went to the Soul Realm, just like Thanos did.

Here Tony had a conversation with his grown-up daughter Morgan, played by Langford.

As for why the scene was cut from Avengers Endgame, the directors explained that a test screening audience didn’t have a connection to the older Morgan, and neither did they.

Speaking with the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Joe Russo said: “His future daughter forgave him.

“And sort of gave him peace to go.”

They continued: “I don’t think there were any mandates. If we had a good reason to not do it, certainly people would have entertained it.

“The watchword was, end this chapter, and he started the chapter.

“In a way, he has been the mirror of Steve Rogers the entire time.

“Steve is moving toward some sort of enlightened self-interest, and Tony’s moving to selflessness. They both get to their endpoints.”
