“It makes it very hard for me to have respect for someone who has not respected what some of us have won with the club.

Cahill, 33, will leave Chelsea this summer.

“If you ask me about Pogba, I say that he is a very good player, but he plays for Manchester United.

11:25 UPDATE: Wilson to Chelsea backed

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson should join Chelsea ahead of Tottenham, claims Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

“This lad will have to have a serious think in the summer,” former Arsenal star Merson said.

“I’d be seriously looking at Chelsea before Tottenham, for him, because he will play at Chelsea. He would be the centre-forward [at Chelsea].

“He’s not going to play for Tottenham. He’d fizzle his career out just sitting around [if he joined Tottenham].

“He’s worked hard to get here to play in the Premier League, now surely you want to play in the Premier League.

“If he had a choice I think he’d look at Tottenham and go ‘I’m not going to play in front of Harry Kane’, he probably wouldn’t even play in front of Son [Heung-min] if I’m being honest.”

Chelsea could face the nightmare of a second transfer battle with Real Madrid this summer after the Spanish giants started to compile a dossier on N’Golo Kante.

The Blues are already bracing themselves for a raid from the Spanish capital for star playmaker Eden Hazard who is Zinedine Zidane’s number one target.

Zidane is keen on making major changes to his squad and has got his eye on Manchester United’s Paul Pogba but the cost of the deal could cause it not to happen.

So they are looking at other options and one of them is French international Kante who has been played out of position by Maurizio Sarri this season.

Chelsea who are facing a transfer ban and battling for fourth place in the Premier League are unlikely to entertain a move for Kante.

07:35 UPDATE: Double Liverpool exit worry

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp may struggle to keep hold of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, Reds hero Graeme Souness claims.

“He’s really passionate, he wears his heart on his sleeve, and the Liverpool supporters love that,” Souness said of Klopp.

“I think it’s only a matter of time, whether it’s this year [or not], he will win trophies.

“I still think [Klopp] won’t be terribly happy with the lack of creativity in midfield.

“I think he needs more of that, but I think he will resolve that.

“The bigger question for me is can they hold onto Salah and Mane?

“That’s where I think the problem will come down the line.”
