Moussa Dembele talks

Manchester United have ‘made contact’ with Lyon over the potential transfer of Moussa Dembele, according to a report.

Dembele moved to Lyon from Celtic last summer and has impressed during his time in France so far, scoring 18 goals.

And according to French outlet L’Equipe, United have targeted Dembele, who is valued at £43m by Lyon.

It’s thought that Arsenal face competition from Arsenal but the Gunners are padded out in the striking department already.

Wanted: Bruno Fernandes

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has demanded Ed Woodward fork out for Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.

Solskjaer believes his Manchester United side need bolstering in every single area of the squad following six years of turmoil since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.

And Portuguese newspaper A Bola claim the Norwegian has demanded Woodward secure a deal for Fernandes.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fine season over at Sporting, helping them to third in the Primeira Liga table.

The report suggests Solskjaer wants Fernandes because of uncertainty over the futures of Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata.

Paul Pogba exit hinted

Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United in the summer after his brother Florentin claimed ‘things are going to happen.’

Real Madrid are understood to be keen on taking him to the Bernabeu in the summer and manager Zinedine Zidane admits he is a keen admirer of his fellow Frenchman.

Now, Pogba’s brother has moved to intensify the speculation surrounding his future in a candid interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

When asked about the United midfielder’s future, Florentin said: “I do not know. In football, many things can happen.

“Today I can tell you something, tomorrow something else. Things are going to happen. Now comes summer. We’ll see if he stays or if he leaves.”

Stay focused – Herrera

Ander Herrera says Manchester United belong in the Champions League and urged his team mates to remain focused.

United are sixth in the table, three points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea and one behind Arsenal heading into Sunday’s league trip to Huddersfield, and the club could finish outside the top four for the fourth time in six seasons.

“We are going to fight for it. Of course at the moment it’s in the hands of Chelsea but we still have six points to play for,” Herrera said.

“Football sometimes is like this where you have to wait for some results. The only thing we can do is try to win both games, first of all Huddersfield away. We didn’t win there last season (in the league) so it’s a good challenge for us.

“The Champions League is where this club should always be. That’s why it’s very, very important of course. Winning titles and playing in the Champions League is the history of this club.”
