Queen and Adam Lambert tour: Is the Rhapsody tour coming to the UK?

Earlier this year, Freddie Mercury Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody crossed over $900 million at the worldwide box office and won the most Oscars of any film at this year’s Academy Awards. Following this huge success, Queen + Adam Lambert announced a new set of worldwide shows called The Rhapsody Tour. The 39 dates kick off in July before finishing in February 2020. But are the rock collaboration coming to the UK?

Sadly, Queen + Adam Lambert’s latest tour won’t be visiting the UK this time around as The Rhapsody tour is exclusive to North America, Asia and Oceania.

The last time the band and singer performed in the UK was in July last year at Wembley Arena, The O2 Arena and Glasgow Green.

Having also travelled extensively across the country in November and December 2017.

So just when is the next time UK fans can enjoy Queen + Adam Lambert live?

Taylor said: “A friend of mine called me up and said, ‘I’ve just seen the most amazing singer on American Idol.’

“I checked it out and [Lambert] was singing Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin and just blowing it away. Fantastic.”

In fact, Taylor was so blown away that Queen contacted American Idol and asked to be on the show so they could try performing with Lambert.

The drummer continued: “We got in touch, and we were then asked to do the finale of Idol, which we flew over to do with the two finalists and we just got on magically with Adam.”
