OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 are receiving new features ahead of OnePlus 7 release

OnePlus 7 is anticipated to arrive in three models; the standard OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

While the standard OnePlus 7 is expected to be a very incremental upgrade over the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7 Pro has been rumoured to come with a pop-up selfie sensor, three cameras on its rear and a huge, curved display.

But while the Chinese tech giant continues to tease and build momentum for its forthcoming launch, it is still issuing its older devices with new updates.

In fact, the OnePlus 6, 6T, 5 and 5T have recently received some new features courtesy of a new OxygenOS build.

OnePlus fans are able to enrol in the tech giant’s OxygenOS Open Beta that grants early versions of the Android skin before they are released to all owners.

The latest version of the beta for the quartet brings some notable new features.

First and foremost, all four devices will now display a warning if they get too hot, meaning users can take appropriate action if this is the case.

Moreover, the OnePlus handsets are also receiving optimisations when performing quick replies in a landscape orientation.

Now, apps working in the background will not be paused when the user is composing a message.

Finally, OnePlus owners will also be greeted with a new interface when installing system updates.
