Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will be hoping his side achieve a vital away victory this evening that would surely put them in good stead to progress to the final of lauded European tournament.
However, the coach has admitted his squad is “in trouble” with regard to centre-backs; the London club currently only have two that are fit to start.
Discussing squad injuries, Sarri said: “We are in trouble with the centre-backs.
“We hope to recover him [Cahill] in one week.”
Although winning the Europa League would qualify the Blues for the Champions League next season, Sarri has admitted he would prefer to quality for the tournament through the Premier League.
He said: “The Europa League is a very important trophy.
“But we want to get to the Champions League through the Premier League.
“It’s very difficult to arrive in the top four in the Premier League.”
Ahead of tonight’s away clash with the German outfit, the manger has warned of how “dangerous” Eintracht Frankfurt can be, especially at their home stadium.
Sarri went on: “I respect Eintracht very much.
“They have played against Inter in this competition, and Benfica.
“They are a very dynamic team, with a great intensity. They play with the same characteristics as Slavia Prague, but the quality is different, especially in the offensive players.
“They’re really very dangerous at home, but also away. So, for us, it will be really very difficult to get to the final, I think.”

Eintracht Frankfurt will host Chelsea at the Commerzbank-Arena tonight with kick-off taking place at 8pm.
BT Sport 3 (Sky 417, Sky HD 869, BT TV 410) will broadcast the game with coverage starting at 7.15pm.
