13:50 UPDATE: Arsenal told to sell Ozil

Arsenal should sell Mesut Ozil this summer as it would allow them to bring in FOUR players, former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell claims.

“If it was up to me, he’d be gone,” Campbell told Express Sport.

“I don’t think he can contribute enough to Arsenal. With the set-up and the way the Premier League is going, I don’t think he does enough.

“Is he a wonderfully gifted player? Of course he is. But the way his talent is going, he doesn’t do enough for me.

“On his wage, that could bring in four players. And it might be four versatile players.

“On one persons wage you get four opportunities to improve the squad, that must take priority.”

12:45 UPDATE: Pogba wants OUT of Man Utd

Man Utd star Paul Pogba is desperate to force through a move to Real Madrid this summer.

The Independent say the reason behind Pogba’s decision is he feels United won’t be able to challenge for the Premier League in the coming years.

Pogba doesn’t want to spend his prime years not challenging for silverware.

The Independent also say that United could be tempted to sell the midfielder this summer, despite previously saying he wasn’t for sale.

A bid of over £130m would likely tempt them into selling Pogba this summer.

12:05 UPDATE: Solskjaer told to sign TWO

Man Utd Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must sign two players this summer, Dimitar Berbatov reckons.

“No disrespect to the players, they are good players to play for Manchester United but I think they need players at the back,” Berbatov told the Metro.

“It’s up to Ole to decide how many he needs and what type of defenders he brings in but a centre-back is needed.

“They have issues there. They need someone who can bring the ball out, to give it to [Paul] Pogba.

“Not someone who just kicks it and makes the forward players fight for the second ball. I also think midfield – between the defence and Pogba.”

11:20 UPDATE: Bold Arsenal prediction

Arsenal boss Unai Emery faces a big task moulding his squad over the next two years – and there are only two standout players he will be certain on keeping, Gary Neville claims.

“I have to say, every time I look at the Arsenal team I think: ‘How many players, really, would Unai Emery like to be at the club in two years?’” Neville said.

“If he’s going to be at the club in three of four years, how many of those players that started the game today would he think: ‘I want them with me in my third or fourth season.’

“And I’m sure Arsenal will give Unai Emery that time. It really is a squad that looks devoid of balance, of real quality and strength.

“They’ve got a couple of good strikers [Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette], there’s no doubt about that, and that’s helping them.

“He’s (Emery) doing a brilliant job for them to be where they are.”

Kieran Trippier is keen to join Manchester United this summer.

Express Sport understands United and Napoli are chasing the Tottenham right-back.

And according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Trippier would rather join United over Napoli this summer.

With the defender being from Bury, near Manchester, Trippier favours an Old Trafford switch over a move abroad.

Di Marzio adds that Napoli have tabled an offer between £16-18m (€18-20m) for Trippier. However, Spurs are demanding at least £26m (€30m) this summer.

Man Utd are ready to trigger Jan Oblak’s £105m buyout clause.

Old Trafford chiefs reckon Oblak, 26, would be great value for money if they opt to move for the Slovenia international.

De Gea has made numerous costly errors this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

08:35 UPDATE: Rangers plan

Rangers are on the trail of £3million-rated Croatian international Mirko Maric as question marks hang over the head of Alfredo Morelos.

The Light Blues have scouted the NK Osijek striker, 23, regularly since coming up against him in both legs of their Europa League qualifier in July and August.

Maric, who still has three years remaining on his contract, is the top scorer in his homeland with 16 goals.

That has brought him to the attention of Rangers director of football Mark Allen as he draws up a list of summer targets.

Rangers are looking to add to their frontline options and ideally take some of the burden off top scorer Morelos.

07:15 UPDATE: De Ligt to Liverpool backed

Liverpool should sign Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt and partner him alongside Virgil van Dijk, Mario Melchiot claims.

“My boys at Ajax are of course going to try and hold onto him for as long as they can,” Melchiot told talkSPORT.

“But they know they’re coming into a difficult situation with De Ligt. I like him as a player, he’s very smart.

“He went through a very difficult spell when he first broke through because he made a couple of mistakes for the national team so the country was jumping on his back.

“But I think that shifted his mindset and made him an even better player.

“Now, the way he’s playing right now, I think if Liverpool were smart they’ll go after him.

“De Ligt and Van Dijk, those two together would be a great partnership.”

Arsenal are eyeing a £21.5m move for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet.

The Daily Star claim Unai Emery sees Praet as a cheaper alternative to Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella.

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Praet, 24, should Emery sanction the move.

Praet could be a replacement for Aaron Ramsey at the Emirates, with the midfielder heading to Juventus this summer.
