PewDiePie vs T-Series SHOCK: YouTube star makes heartfelt plea to subscribers

PewDiePie’s battle with T-Series has taken a surprising turn, as the YouTube star ends the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie’ movement.

YouTube sensation PewDiePie has been locked in a battle with Bollywood music channel T-Series over who can get the most subscribers.

But in a heartfelt and emotional video to his subscribers, PewDiePie – whose real name is Felix Kjellberg – explained how the movement had turned sour.

“I think it’s time to end the ‘Subscribe to PewDiePie movement – or meme,” he said.

“It’s something that started off as a way to keep me as the number one most subscribed channel on YouTube, and seeing so many other people come to my support – other creators as well – has been incredibly humbling to me.”

PewDiePie says that while the movement started off positively, things took a negative turn when a few “degenerates” took things too far.

“And it started off with someone spray painting ‘sub to PewDiePie’ on a World War 2 memorial,” he continues.

PewDiePie said that it was disgusting and disappointing to have his name associated with the act of vandalism.

But things would get even worse when PewDiePie was mentioned by the person responsible for the terror attack at the Al-Noor mosque in Christchurch.

“But then something happened that I don’t think anyone would have predicted,” he explained. “A Christchurch shooter said subscribe to PewDiePie.

“Out of respect to those involved I chose not to address it any further than on Twitter where I disavowed the actions taken that day and gave my sincerest condolences to everyone affected.

“To have my name associated with something so unspeakably vile has affected me more ways than I have let show. I just didn’t want to address it right away and I didn’t want to give the terrorist any more attention.

“I didn’t want to make it about me, to put it plainly. I didn’t want hate to win.

“But it’s clear to me now the subscribe to PewDiePie moment should have ended then. This was made to be fun and it’s clearly not fun anymore. It’s gone too far.”

PewDiePie also addressed the battle with T-Series, telling fans that diss tracks aimed at the channel were made in fun, and weren’t meant to be taken seriously.

The YouTuber categorically denies that the battle with T-Series was motivated by race, politics or nationality, before saying how proud he is off his fans and community.
