Harry Redknapp, 72, was previously rumoured to be stepping in for James Corden, 40, on Sky’s A League Of Their Own.
The host will be replaced by guest presenters during the next series due to his US TV commitments.
And Harry admitted he wants to take on the huge role, having been the favourite from bookies.
Speaking to Express.co.uk about whether he would want to present the sports show, he spilled: “I’m ready.”
Harry joked he wouldn’t be too kind to his son, Jamie Redknapp, who has been a team captain on Sky’s A League Of Their Own since it first launched in 2010.
“I could give Jamie all the bad tests,” the King of the Jungle said.
Discussing Jamie’s co-star on the show, Freddie Flintoff, Harry added: “Freddie, he doesn’t know his own strength.”
“I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of Freddie,” he continued. “He’s a bit of a boy.”
Bookmakers put Harry favourite to be joining the programme, with Betway’s Alan Alger saying: “The British public have warmed to Harry Redknapp ever since his triumph in the jungle and it would be a massive coup if Sky were able to get him to present A League Of Their Own.
“He’s been doing his fair share of TV over the last few months and is well-fancied at just 4/1 to replace James Corden.
“Captains Andrew Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp look the obvious picks and are just 5/2 and 11/4 respectively, but it appears 72-year-old Harry Redknapp is certainly snapping at their heels for the role.”
Jamie, whose divorce from Louise Redknapp was finalised at the end of 2017, has odds of 11/4 to temporarily replace James.
Fellow team captain, Freddie Flintoff, is also a favourite with his odds at 5/2 while show regular Kirsty Gallagher has a 5/1 shot.
Harry has teamed up with website creator, GoDaddy, to create a platform to showcase his jam roly poly business.
Speaking about the website, he said: “It’s been amazing, loads of people talking about jam roly polys!”
He went on: “Every dinner I go to now, I get the same dessert. It’s always jam roly poly puddings.”
Profits from the tasty treat will go to homelessness charity Hope Housing, based in Harry’s hometown of Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, Harry also spoke about his relationship with his ex daughter-in-law, Louise, following her divorce from Jamie.
The former football manager said: “Me and my wife [Sandara] love Lou, she was great, I love her.”
He added: “I couldn’t say a bad word about her.”
