Supershoppers host Sabrina Grant drops ‘big break’ Naked Attraction bombshell

Sabrina Grant, 32, who presents the Channel 4 show Supershoppers alongside Kate Quilton, 35, and Anna Richardson, 48, has opened up about her “big break” in television. The TV star revealed before she made it onto viewers screens to front her own show, the star admitted meeting presenter Anna on the Channel 4 show Naked Attraction was what led her to her current role. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, she spilled: “It was actually through meeting Anna Richardson. I was doing her wardrobe for Naked Attraction. “We really got on and we started talking. I told her I’m a presenter and I do a lot of children’s presenting on the side and I’m still waiting for my big break in primetime TV.”

Sabrina revealed when the opportunity for Supershoppers came around, it was the Naked Attraction host who put her forward for the role.

She said: “When the opportunity came up, Anna was actually the one who put me forward to screen test for the new role as her co-presenter for Supershoppers.”

The former fashion stylist-turned-presenter has had a varied off-camera career including working backstage on the ITV series of Britain’s Got Talent.

The Supershoppers host said: “Britain’s Got Talent was one of my first television jobs.

“That job really pulled on my heartstrings. I’d been in the position of auditioning for things and being told no. So when you are working with the guests you feel almost heartbroken for those who don’t get through.”

She continued: “But it was an amazing job and a massive production. It’s full on. You really have to have your wits about you.

“As a production runner, you have to be forward-thinking because you’re like the glue of the production. Even though your tasks are sometimes making tea and coffee for the producers and executives.

“But then you’re photocopying scripts for presenters. It’s a varied job and you’ve really got to have a strong head. You know, just get on with it.”

Speaking about the idea of joining the show’s judging line-up, she divulged: “I would love to join the BGT judging panel.

“I get a real buzz watching other people’s talent. I always have. That’s my first love, theatre and the arts industry. I would absolute love being a judge. It would be such a wicked job to do.”

Sabrina made her TV debut back in 2015 on BBC Two’s learning programme, Round The Clock.

She has also worked with some of the biggest names in music, styling the likes of Sam Smith, 26, Taylor Swift, 29, and Disclosure.

Meanwhile, the TV host will be fronting the latest instalment of Supershoppers tonight.

The consumer programme combines features, satire and investigative journalism to look at why people buy certain products and how they can save money on their purchases.

Sabrina revealed consumers can get “sucked in” but says the show teaches you to be a “savvy shopper”.

Speaking about the Channel 4 show, she said: “We’re all consumers and the important thing is finding out the truth about some of the claims made by these companies.

“Are there better offers to be had? Are you saving money? Which I think is something everyone wants to do.”

Supershoppers airs tonight on Channel 4 at 8pm.
