Man Utd stars say to Paul Pogba they want to follow him to Real Madrid in transfer window

Manchester United star Pogba is a top Real Madrid transfer target ahead of the summer window, with Zinedine Zidane eager to make his compatriot his midfield general next season.

The France international has helped fuel the rumours, saying back in March: “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.

“For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted the World Cup winner will not be going anywhere this summer.

But the 46-year-old’s hands may be forced if the 26-year-old pushes to leave.

Various reports have claimed the United star is eager to make the move to Real this summer, having grown tired of life at Old Trafford.

And Spanish newspaper AS claim United stars have been joking with Pogba about a potential move to Spain.

They have supposedly said things such as ‘If you go there, do not forget me.’

And they have also reportedly told Pogba ‘Invite me when you’re playing at the Bernabeu.’

United boss Solskjaer views Pogba as the ideal player to build his team around given the 26-year-old’s outrageous ability despite his drop off in form over the last two months.

But whether he is able to do that remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, former United star Paul Parker believes Pogba must improve his attitude he is to secure a move to Real this summer.

“There’s definitely ability with Pogba but if you want to be seen as the best you have to show consistency,” Parker wrote for Eurosport.

“You can’t pick and choose when you want to play games of football because somewhere along the line it’ll come back and bite you.

“Now he didn’t perform under Jose Mourinho and everyone saw the problems with the former United boss as a person and as a man manager.

“When you’ve got someone who comes in and puts their arm around you and puts to bed the situation before, you can’t be letting them down and, more importantly, you can’t be letting your team-mates down.

“If you want to be seen or talked about or someone who’s maybe going to play for Real Madrid, they are not going to accept performances like that against Barcelona – and an attitude like that.”
