Emilia Clarke: Game of Thrones star Daenerys Targaryen breaks silence on HUGE death

Emilia Clarke, 32, took the opportunity to praise her co-star, after the actor exited Game of Thrones after an epic showdown during the Battle of Winterfell. In view of her 20.0 million Instagram followers, the Daenerys Targaryen actress bid farewell to Jorah Mormont (played by Iain Glen) who was stabbed by a wight during the Battle of Winterfell, after bravely protecting Daenerys from the army of undead. She uploaded a sweet snap of the pair together as they beamed at the camera, seemingly behind-the-scenes on Game of Thrones with the picture gaining over three million likes.

Fans inundated the star with comments, one person saying: “I am hurt,” while another person appeared disappointed with the spoiler, writing: “Is this a joke!!! Mehhhhh! So now I know about two!!!”(sic)

A third person added: “He definitely is amazing he protected you with his life. I loved that scene and I felt it when he died.”

Jonah Mormont is one of the longest-standing Game of Thrones characters to die.

The actor has been one of the show’s staples since it first aired in 2011.

Meanwhile, Emilia recently revealed to her fans she didn’t spill anything that she shouldn’t about the ending of Game of Thrones when she attended the Time 100 gala.

The star uploaded to snaps where she sported an eye-catching bright red gown on the carpet.

The brunette beauty beamed for the pictures as she posed with her hands on her hips in the gorgeous floor-length dress.

In a lengthy caption, Emilia described her night as “a dream” before proudly saying she didn’t tell anyone the ending of Game of Thrones.

She commented: “Yes @time and I both called in the morning to make sure we would be colour coordinated.

“A DREAM of a night, thought provoking powerful insightful humans wanting to make a difference, and then dance.”

She then jokingly added: “And I didn’t tell anyone how @gameofthrones ends! Success all round.”

Many of the star’s social media fans flocked to her page to comment.

One user wrote: “You are the most beautiful woman,” while a second person commented: “You looks so gorgeous as hell!!”

A third person replied: “Queen of the TIME 100 gala.”

Game of Thrones season 8 airs on HBO in the US on Sundays 9pm ET and on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK on Mondays at 2am and 9pm BST.
