Trump BOOED after Canada comments spark FURIOUS backlash at Republican rally

As the President implored the crowd to sing ‘O Canada’ boos rang out at across the arena.

For the third year in a row, the President skipped the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in order to give a speech at a Republican rally.

In a defiant speech to the crowd, Trump also launched an attack on the Mueller investigation.

Trump said: “This witch hunt was never really just about me.

“It was always about stopping you — the millions and millions of freedom-loving citizens who rose up on that incredible November day, remember that day?”

Before its release, many had speculated that the investigation would be incredibly damaging for the US President.

There had been constant claims linking Trump’s 2016 Election Campaign with Russian interference.

However, the release of the report proved no direct criminal link between the US President and Russia.

Despite the pressure coming from the Democrats to impeach Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has recently admitted that she is no rush to do so.

Ms Pelosi said: “It is also important to know that the facts regarding holding the President accountable can be gained outside of impeachment hearings.

“As we proceed to uncover the truth and present additional needed reforms to protect our democracy.

“We must show the American people we are proceeding free from passion or prejudice, strictly on the presentation of fact.”
