Pointless Celebrities: 'Completely ridiculous' Redd Pepper sends viewers into a frenzy

Alexander Armstrong was joined by a host of voice over artists on today’s special “voices” edition of Pointless Celebrities.

MasterChef narrator India Fisher, voice of the Dalek’s Nicholas Briggs and voice of Daddy Pig in Peppa pig, Richard Ridings were some of the stars who joined Alexander and co-host Richard Osman on the BBC quiz show.

As he introduced the couples, Alexander was amazed at discovering the faces behind some very famous voices.

However, viewers watching at home couldn’t get enough of voice artist and radio presenter, Redd Pepper’s voice.

One fan tweeted: “OMG Redd’s voice is completely ridiculously LUSHTASTIC #pointlesscelebrities.”

Another remarked: “Redd’s voice makes my ovaries twitch. #Pointless #PointlessCelebrities”

“Omg, Redd Pepper, the voice of SHADOWMAN in the Acclaim games is on #PointlessCelebrities,” said a third.

Redd wasn’t the only voice that viewers enjoyed and fans took to Twitter to reveal their favourite stars.

“This is the best #pointlesscelebrities ever. I get to see the face of The Daleks, Daddy Pig and the Masterchef voice lady all in one room. It’s amazing,” one wrote.

Another said: “Pure excitement in our house because Daddy Pig is on #pointlesscelebrities.”

“Yes! Daddy Pig is on Pointless Celebrities. #PointlessCelebrities #Pointless #DaddyPig #PeppaPig,” said a third.

India and Nicholas made it to the final of the quiz show but unfortunately they did not provide a pointless answer and so did not win the jackpot for their chosen charities.

In last week’s instalment of Pointless Celebrities, Alexander Armstrong was forced to improvise as a contestant was left speechless.

Contestant Kate was asked a question about actors who have played the Doctor or a companion in the BBC science fiction drama Doctor Who.

However the journalist and presenter could not think of an answer and Alexander jumped in to give Kate some more time.

“What are you up to later this evening Richard?” he asked his assistant, as the audience laughed in the background.

“I’m glad you asked, I’m going to be the 14th Doctor. It’s my audition tonight,” Richard joked, to which Alexander replied: “Have they never asked you?”

Richard hit back and confessed that he had never been asked then joked that Alexander would be a “terrible Doctor Who” but would be a “good doctor.”

Eventually the contestant thought of an answer and the pair carried on with the show.

Pointless airs weekdays at 5pm on BBC One.
