Vince McMahon makes HUGE Ronda Rousey statement amid growing WWE departure speculation

Rousey lost to Becky Lynch, who became the inaugural RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion, at WrestleMania 35 in a Winner Takes All Triple Threat Match, which also included Charlotte Flair.

The UFC Hall of Famer broke her hand during the historic bout and is now set for a long hiatus as she is also trying to have a family with husband Travis Browne.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s WWE future is now uncertain as she hasn’t ruled out a departure from professional wrestling.

However, according to Fightful, WWE supremo McMahon is very impressed with her debut year in the promotion and credits her for taking the women’s division to the next level.

The Chairman said during the quarterly investor call: “Just speaking about Ronda, Ronda has done [an] extraordinary job for us.

“Her challenge was to bring the entire women’s division up and, that was our main event at this year’s WrestleMania — involving Ronda.

“So Ronda’s task that she chose, and of course it’s great for us is to build that whole division, have more visibility on that division, and to make stars.

“To make stars that you have stories where even after Ronda leaves.

“So when you look at what happened in WrestleMania, with Becky Lynch and Charlotte and others, the entire division.

“The focal point and the stories that are coming out of that — Ronda did an awesome job.”

Rousey joined WWE last year on January from UFC and enjoyed a stunning first year in the business.

The first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion became RAW Women’s Champion just four months after her debut match.

The MMA hero then enjoyed a year-long undefeated streak that saw her beating the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Nia Jax and more.

The Rowdy One’s intense feud with Lynch made global headlines and attracted a lot of mainstream attention at WrestleMania.
