Carol Vorderman Twitter: ‘Calm down’ Countdown star begs Carol Kirkwood for help

Carol Vorderman, 58, turned to an expert when she struggled to sleep as a result of the powerful winds created by Storm Hannah. The former Countdown host encountered the storm as she paid a visit to the North Devon Coast, admitting that its relentless gusts kept her awake “a lot last night”. Carol spoke out about the meteorological issue on Twitter in view of her 400,000 followers this morning, as she begged BBC Weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, 56, for some help and advice. The TV personality addressed the Scottish star as she jokingly wrote: “Weather update… your wind kept me up a lot last night @carolkirkwood

“Can you please tell #Hannah to calm down a little later…

“A girl needs her kip…well this one does anyway! #NorthDevonCoast

Carol’s fans were quick to empathise with her exhausting situation, taking to the comments section of the tweet to share their thoughts.

One agreed: “Went outside in Derbyshire nearly got blown away!”

Another reassured the star: “Don’t worry Carol things will soon calm down! No doubt summer will return soon!”

A third admirer gushed: “But you don’t need your beauty sleep Carol. Perfect the way you are.”

A fourth then cheekily joked about an alternative meaning to Carol’s statement about the wind, writing: “Obviously baked beans were added somewhere in the equation.”

Earlier this week, the BBC Weather favourite warned her own 153,000 Twitter followers about the impending gusts, revealing: “#StormHannah has just been named by @MetEireann…

“The storm will bring strong winds across the southern half of the UK on Friday night and Saturday @BBCBreakfast xxx.”

Fortunately, in spite of the extreme weather conditions, Carol was still able to enjoy her experience by the sea.

The mathematics expert tweeted a follow up post this evening, sharing a picturesque gallery of photos from her climb in Exmoor National Park.

Carol braced herself against the breeze in a cosy puffer jacket, as she showed off her curvaceous figure in skin-tight black leggings.

The stylish star also accessorised with a sun hat and mirrored shades, complete with a practical pair of black trainers for her walk.

She captioned the post: “More than a bit blowy today… that #Hannah nearly blew me off my feet a few times.

#Exmoor… climb up was worth it… just look at that view and the shadows of the clouds on the sea #WhiteTops.”

In light of the snaps, Carol’s followers wondered how she managed to maintain her flawless outfit amongst the strong winds, with one responding: “Lovely Lady, Lovely Pics.  P.S. how did you keep your hat on?”

A second remarked: “Keep hold of your hat.”
