OnePlus 7 could launch a huge challenge to the Mate 20 Pro as new feature CONFIRMED

OnePlus 7 will be unwrapped on May 14 and is braced to come in multiple models.

Rumours of more than one OnePlus 7 flavour being in development have been swirling since the start of the month with teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal claiming three variants of the hardware are set to debut.

It was insisted in addition to the standard OnePlus 7, two other models of the handset dubbed the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G are braced to launch.

Alleged renders of both the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro have suggested the former will be a relatively incremental upgrade for Android fans.

The claimed hardware was recently displayed by Pricebaba, collaborating with OnLeaks, looking extremely similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 6T.

That is because the design of the standard OnePlus 7 was shown looking reminiscent to the 2018 device, right down to its teardrop-shaped notch.

The two biggest improvements tipped to arrive for the regular OnePlus 7 include a new processor in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 and refreshed main camera sensor that is 48-megapixels.

In stark contrast, the OnePlus 7 Pro has been speculated to make numerous substantial changes to the product line.

Chief of these has been said to be the introduction of a pop-up style camera that can emerge from the top of the device for selfies.

Alleged renders of the hardware courtesy of Pricebaba working with OnLeaks suggested the design decision will allow the product to deliver a display that has no notch and extremely minimal bezels surrounding it.

Another major change shown in the photos surrounded the OnePlus 7 Pro’s rear camera system.

The hardware was displayed flaunting a triple lens array OnLeaks has said is comprised of a 48-megapixel primary sensor in addition to an ultra wide-angle and telephoto module.

If the function of each camera is true, the OnePlus 7 Pro could launch a radical challenge to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro that touts a similar camera collection.

While the implementation of an upgraded photography offering had only previously been claimed by tipsters and renders, it appears OnePlus itself has now confirmed such a feature is on the way.

The firm recently tweeted out a teaser video that firstly confirmed the OnePlus 7 Pro’s existence with a duly-titled hashtag.

Additionally though, the video also showed the outline of a phone with three sensors on its rear, suggesting the 7 Pro will indeed tout a triple-lens system.

A teaser page for the hardware on the firm’s site also discusses its 5G ambitions, seemingly suggesting a 5G model of the new flagship is forthcoming.

Rumours have suggested the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be incredibly similar to the standard OnePlus 7 Pro but will be capable of providing faster internet speeds for Android fans.

Although it appears OnePlus has confirmed a huge feature for the 7 Pro, it is expected the firm will save the majority of information about its new products until May 14.
