Three Players Bayern May Look to Capture This Summer

Bayern Munich are in a battle with Dortmund this season to win their seventh straight Bundesliga title, however, their early exit from the Champions League will leave them with the desire to improve in the summer when the transfer window reopens.

The German giants are unlikely to hold back when it comes to splashing the cash with the following three players hotly tipped to move across to Germany.

Alexis Sanchez

For some reason, Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United from Arsenal hasn’t worked out for him. It is therefore probably best for both parties if the player moves on this summer with Bayern Munich his most likely destination.

Bayern are one of the few clubs in Europe who can match his wages in which some reports suggest the Chilean is on £350,000 a week at Old Trafford. The 30-year-old was once considered as one of the best forwards in world football, therefore, if Niko Kovac can find the best out of him again, he could prove to be a fantastic addition alongside Robert Lewandowski.

Mesut Ozil

One of the areas where Kovac will look to improve when he recruits this summer is his midfield, especially with players who can be creative with the ball. Mesut Ozil’s would tick that box and his time at Arsenal could be coming to an end at the end of the season.

Bayern are 3/10 in the Bundesliga betting for the title this year but with the addition of Ozil, they will be much shorter at the start of the 2019/20 campaign as he would definitely be an upgrade on what they currently have in that position.

Ozil no longer plays for the Germany national team therefore he would be concentrating on his domestic football. The German did not feature in the Champions League this season as Arsenal did not qualify for Europe’s premier competition. The Gunners have some work to do this season if they are to finish in a Champions League spot, while Bayern are certain to feature once again in the 2019/20 tournament.

Paulo Dybala

Since signing for Juventus in 2015 from Palermo, Paulo Dybala has scored 78 goals for the Serie A champions and has been a huge fans’ favourite at the club.

The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, though, has meant that Dybala is no longer a guaranteed starter under Massimiliano Allegri’s team. That could result in the Argentina international leaving Italy at the end of the season where, along with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid are thought to be interested in his services.

Dybala has had his best campaign to date in the Champions League this season with five goals coming from his seven appearances. Juventus have a fantastic opportunity to advance into the semi-final of the competition as they are favourites to get past Ajax in the last eight.

Before Kovac can bring in some fresh blood this summer, he may have to offload some of his squad which could result in a number of senior players departing and pulling a curtain on their careers at Bayern.
