Avengers Endgame spoilers: Morgan Stark shock – Tony's daughter is VERY different to comic

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Avengers: EndgameMorgan is Tony Stark and Pepper Potts’ daughter, and was first hinted at in Avengers: Infinity War when the couple spoke about Tony dreaming Pepper was pregnant. “We named him after your eccentric uncle. What was his name? Morgan,” he says. Soon after the start of Avengers: Endgame, when it flashes forward five years, sure enough Pepper and Tony do have a little Morgan running riot; but they’re a daughter, not a son.

The part appears to have been played by young star Alexandra Rachael Rabe, who will also soon be seen in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Her Instagram feed is flooded with adorable photos of her at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Monday night.

But interestingly, Morgan Stark in the Marvel comics was someone very different.

He’s a grown man on Tony’s side of the family, not Pepper’s “eccentric uncle” – and he first appeared in Tales of Suspense issue 68, courtesy of Don Heck and Al Hartley.

AVENGERS ENDGAME: WHO IS THAT KID AT THE END? (SPOILERS)

He’s Tony’s cousin – the nephew of Howard Stark and the son of Edward Stark. But the two families intertwine when he becomes convinced that uncle Howard cheated Edward out of the Stark family fortune.

As a result, he has a sharp rivalry with Tony; trying to take Stark Industries from him.

Their relationship has its ups and downs after that (at one point Iron Man saves Morgan’s life) but things turn sour again in the Good as Gone and Dark Reign stories.

Hopefully sweet little Morgan in Avengers: Endgame doesn’t prove to be quite so antagonistic for the remaining superheroes going forward.

AVENGERS ENDGAME: ROBERT DOWNEY JR MOCKS “DUMB” BLACK WIDOW SCENES

Avengers: Endgame is being rolled out worldwide: it’s out in the UK today and will land in the US tomorrow (Friday).

It’s heavily tipped to be the biggest movie of all time; and could dethrone Avatar as the historic No1.

It’d be a win:win for Zoe Saldana, who stars in both. And in fact, she’ll have three movies in the all-time Top 5 if Avengers: Endgame nudges Jurassic World out (Infinity War is at No4).

Reviews have been very strong: the film sits at 96% at Rotten Tomatoes, just 1% shy of an all-time high for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Black Panther is on 97%).
