Avengers Endgame: Captain Marvel Brie Larson drops surprise bombshell about THIS scene

WARNING: Very mild spoilers ahead for Avengers: Endgame.

One of the earliest scenes in the movie sees Larson’s Carol Danvers meeting the surviving Avengers for the first time.

It’s a star-studded scene, packed with the big Marvel key players – and its script was shrouded in so much secrecy that Larson had no idea what she was doing beforehand.

Speaking on Jimmy Fallon’s US chatshow last night, she spoke about how even the hair and make-up team backstage wouldn’t tell her what she was about to shoot.

“I directed a film and it premiered in Toronto… then I flew to Atlanta to start shooting, and had no idea what I was doing,” she said.

“I arrived and they gave me a piece of paper, and it was a full page of dialogue and action but all of it was redacted except for my one line.

“And I even went to hair and make-up and I was like, ‘who else is here?’, and they were like, [lying] ‘we don’t know…’.

“And I was like, really, they’re not allowed to tell me either?

“It wasn’t until I went on set that I was like, ‘oh… c**p! I’m in a Marvel movie right now!’

“And then I couldn’t talk about it.”

Larson has already revealed that her Endgame scenes were shot before she got to work on Carol Danvers’ solo movie, which recently crossed $1 billion at the global box office since its release in March.

“I was very stressed about it,” she told Ellen DeGeneres, saying she wasn’t clear on what Carol’s superpowers were when she shot Endgame.

“They were like, ‘what are your powers?’, and I was like, ‘I don’t know!’

“‘I’m not sure where I end up with my origin story, sorry.’”

Avengers: Endgame opened in the UK today, and is leaving fans absolutely awe-struck.
