Piers Morgan ATTACKS Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for SILENCE after Sri Lanka terror attacks

ISIS have claimed responsibility for the bombings of churches and hotels that killed 359 people and injured hundreds more. Mr Morgan pointed out on Twitter yesterday that Ms Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democratic Representative, has not posted about the horrific attack. He claims she posted 14 times about the terror attack at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand last month.

Mr Morgan said: “Twitter-obsessed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted 14 times about the terror attack on Muslims in New Zealand, but has posted nothing about the terror attack on Christians by Muslim extremists in Sri Lanka. Very odd.”

Meanwhile Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk said: “Fact: AOC tweeted about the horrific tragedy in New Zealand 14 time.

“She tweeted about the attack on Christians in Sri Lanka zero times. Why?”

Following the attack in New Zealand, where 50 Muslim were shot dead in their place of worship, Ms Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to express her thoughts and retweet others on the subject.

One tweet read: “At first I thought of saying, ‘Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore.’

“But I couldn’t say ‘imagine. Because of Charleston. Pittsburgh. Sutherland Springs.

“What good are your thoughts and prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?”

Another one of her tweets read: “This is a time of great vulnerability for our communities.

“We must come together, fight for each other and stand up for our neighbours.

“Isolation, dehumanising stereotypes, hysterical conspiracy theories and hatred ultimately leads to the anarchy of violence.

“We cannot stand for it.”

Mr Morgan himself posted several times about the Sri Lanka bombings.

He shared an article and wrote: “Horrendous. Suicide bombers kill 207 in Easter Sunday terror attack on Christians in Sri Lanka.”

He later called it “heartbreaking” and expressed condolences for a British man who lost his wife and children in the attacks.

After ISIS claimed responsibility, Mr Morgan said: “Imagine being so depraved you produly boast of slaughtering 321 people, including many women and children, as they pray or eat breakfast?

“What sickening cowardly b**s.”
