Roman Reigns reveals reason why he is not trying to convince Dean Ambrose to stay in WWE

Ambrose is set to leave WWE this month after his contract runs out following a stunning seven-year stint in Vince McMahon’s promotion that saw him becoming a Grand Slam Champion.

The Lunatic Fringe also became part of history by forming one of the most legendary stables of all time The Shield with Reigns and Seth Rollins.

Reports suggest that the ex-WWE Champion decided to depart from the wrestling giants due to some lacklustre booking and a poor direction that his character has taken.

Reigns hasn’t tried to change his mind in any way as he feels like his friend is happy with the decision he has made and Rollins agrees with that statement.

The Big Dog told WWE.com: “No, the jokes are over, I want him to be happy.

“He seems like he’s in a good place and he’s happy, so that’s the key.

“That’s the key to life to just be happy.

“So different material situations and objects will come and go but where your heart is and what makes you smile I think is the most important thing and ultimately that’s what we want for each other.

“We started out this crazy world by taking over this mountain and putting our flags in it so being able to achieve all of those things and now it’s back to the simple things and that’s just keeping a smile on our faces and making sure we’re happy.

“So it’ll be fun… but it’s time to go.”

WWE gave Ambrose a farewell match on Easter Sunday during a WWE Network special show called The Shield’s Final Chapter.

The former Intercontinental Champion reformed The Shield with Rollins and Reigns for the last time ever at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois.

The Hounds of Justice defeated Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley in a Six Man Tag Team Match.

Reigns and Rollins won’t team up again any time soon as the former recently moved to SmackDown.
