Nick Knowles reveals TRUTH about relationship with Natalie Imbruglia

The DIY SOS presenter, 56, faced an inquisitive Chris Moyles, 45, on the Radio X podcast recently, with the host questioning him about his love life. Nick Knowles confirmed he is currently “predominantly single”. However, Chris soon turned his attention to the subject of the star’s link to Australian popstar Natalie Imbruglia, 44, asking if they had ever been romantically involved. “No, I wouldn’t describe it as a thing,” Nick insisted. “Well, we were just sort of friends at the time.

“We were friends! It was a long time ago,” he explained.

The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star called Natalie: “Very beautiful and very bright and very funny.”

Reminiscing about how they had become friends, he revealed they had worked together for Comic Relief.

“We went up to Edinburgh to do the G8 summit — she was part of the Comic Relief show,” he said.

“We’ve done various stuff. With musicians you end up sitting around and playing guitars and stuff.”

Chris, appearing to enjoy teasing his guest, went on to joke: “He had sex with Natalie Imbruglia.”

“That’s not what I said,” Nick laughed.

“Natalie, I never said that, I want to make that plain,” he clarified. “I said that we were friends a long, long time ago.”

Chris continued to speculate about Nick’s love life, announcing: “I’m going to work out how many famous people you’ve had a thing with… five?”

“It depends who you’d describe as famous, really,” the DIY SOS host replied coyly, playing his cards close to his chest.

Nick has been married and divorced twice.

He and his second wife Jessica Moor tied the knot in 2012, three years after they first met.

Four years after they wed, the pair divorced.

The father-of-four’s well-publicised romances have also included a fling with former Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten, 34.

Nick has spoken candidly about his love life int he past, telling The Sun in 2008: “My relationships have pretty much followed a pattern.

“They last six months and start off with me explaining that I work a lot, so will have commitment issues.

“The women involved agree that that is fine, then, after a month, I get a phone call saying, ‘This isn’t on.’

“After three months w split up, then get back together,” he continued. “After five, there’s another tussle. At six it’s all off.”
