Kevin Durant: Warriors star drops free agency BOMBSHELL over Knicks decision

The Golden State Warriors megastar is set to opt out of his player option for next year, which would see him earn north of $30million (£23.1m) for next season.

Speculation has suggested that he will choose a move to the New York Knicks or even the LA Clippers, as he opts for a new destination after three years with the Dubs.

However, Durant has remained coy on his future and has refused to publicly declare which way he is leaning despite the rumours.

He told NBC Sports that he knows “absolutely nothing” about his future, and has not made any decisions yet.

“I don’t know. I never know,” Durant said. “Nothing. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I don’t think about the future, bro. Like that.

“Of course, I think about it, but not like, let me make these [plans], let me go ahead and go through the logistics and the details.

“I don’t go through details on s**t like this.

“My whole thing is, I don’t even want the business to get in the way of basketball.

“So, in the beginning of the season, my whole thing was like, let that s**t.. that s**t has nothing to do with me during the season.

“That has nothing to do with what we’re doing on the court.”

Unlike in 2016, when Durant stunned the basketball world by announcing he would be leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Warriors, many are predicting that his future is already mapped out.

But Durant insists that this year feels completely different to 2016.

“I never had this before. This is a totally new experience,” he continued.

“I never had so many people that come to me and ask about where I should play. And there’s nothing wrong with it.

“But don’t get mad when I talk about it. Don’t get mad when you’re speculating, when you’re in your own head about something that I had said nothing about.”
