Game Of Thrones season 8 episode 3: Sansa Stark's fate SEALED in Battle of Winterfell?

Sansa Stark’s (played by Sophie Turner) journey in Game of Thrones has been a long and painful one, not only has she lost a handful of relatives, but she was forced to marry not once but twice.

However, since returning to Winterfell she has found some solace in the North and in turn became the Lady of Winterfell.

Along the way she has gained some loyal followers, as well as foes, and is edging closer to ruling the Seven Kingdoms – if she wishes to.

Her rise from a naive little girl to one of the most powerful women in Westeros has seen her chances of taking the Iron Throne increase.

In fact, since the release of episode two, entitled ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, Sansa is now the favourite to sit on the ceremonial chair, according to a new report released by William Hill.

Until Monday night Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was the odds on favourite, but he has now been pushed out to 5/2, meanwhile Sansa has been cut from 3/1 to 7/4.

“The scheming Sansa is now our favourite but keep an eye on Gendry, who is fighting his way through the field and is currently the third favourite,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Following closely behind Sansa and Bran, is Gendry (Joe Dempsie) at 6/1, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) with 7/1 and Arya Stark (Maisie William), who has odds of 10/1.

The Night King (Vladimir Furdik), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) are also in the running.

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones fans have come to an interesting conclusion about the crypts of Winterfell and Arya following the release of the episode three trailer.

In the thrilling new teaser clip Arya is shown frantically running through the corridors of the stone chamber.

Moments later, the Mother of Dragons is pictured warning Jon Snow that the “dead are already here” as they prepare for battle.

It had previously been said Arya would flee the crypts of Winterfell when Starks are resurrected from the dead by the Night King.

The theory was made earlier this year when HBO released a similar shot showing the former Faceless Men trainee exiting the burial place.

Now, eagled-eyed viewers have revisited the intriguing hypothesis and it has spread like wildfire across social media platforms.

On YouTube, where the footage was uploaded by HBO, one person wrote: “My theory is that the Night King raises up the dead of the crypts leading to Dany saying, ‘The dead are already here’. Rising up past relatives causes Arya to run in fear from them. But that’s just a theory.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, another said: “This scene from the trailer with Ayra running desperately through the crypts of Winterfell. [The] Night King will raise the dead Starks and attack Winterfell from the inside out?”

A third tweeted: “I just read the craziest theory about Arya running in the season trailer and if it is true it might be the craziest thing ever in Game of Thrones history.”
