Avengers Endgame runtime: How long is Avengers Endgame? What is the age rating?

Avengers: Endgame is less of a movie and more of a pop culture event. The final instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Three arrives in cinemas in only two days. Fans are already hunting for every morsel of information, from runtime to age rating.

How long is Avengers: Endgame?

The official runtime for Avengers: Endgame clocks in at three hours and 58 seconds.

However, new information has broken down the runtime even further.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Avengers: Endgame credits will begin at two hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds.

The crawl, or the main credits, will begin at the two-hour, 53 minute and 17-second mark.

Though these timings are unconfirmed by Marvel, the gulf between the credits and the crawl hints at a mid-credits scene.

However, recent reports claim there will be no mid or post-credits scene.

Speaking to Collider about the runtime, Joe Russo, one of the co-directors, said: “We’re still at the three-hour mark. I think the studio is down with what the best story is.

“Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is.

“We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it.”

Marvel boss Kevin Feige also discussed the runtime with Collider, saying: “It’s going to be the exact running time that the movie needs to be.

“I think there’s a lot of story in that movie and a lot of characters in that movie.

“In all seriousness, we don’t look at runtimes in terms of mandates, or anything like that.

“Some movies can be 90 minutes and feel like they’re four hours.

“And some movies can be three and a half hours and feel like 90 minutes.”
