Karen Clifton: Strictly star cuddles boyfriend amid Kevin Clifton's 'romance' revelation

Karen Clifton, 37, stepped out with her partner David Webb for an evening at the London Palladium on Saturday. The couple’s appearance comes just days after Karen’s ex-husband and fellow Strictly professional Kevin Clifton, 36, was reported to be in a romantic relationship with the BBC show’s 2018 winner, Stacey Dooley, 32. Karen and her opera singer beau David posed for a series of cosy snaps outside the theatre, which they attended in support of Strictly dancers Alijaz Skorjanec, 29, and Janette Manrara, 35, for the opening night of their new show, Remembering The Movies. The loved-up pair dressed up for the occasion, opting for glamorous ensembles to celebrate Aljaz and Janette’s achievement.

Karen wore a floor-length zig-zag patterned silver dress, paired with a pink clutch bag and red lipstick, while David sported a sleek polka dot suit.

The two were pictured with their arms around each other, putting on a sweet display at the event.

The duo first sparked relationship rumours when they were spotted together in February last year, just before Karen officially announced she was separating from her husband-of-three-years, Kevin, in March 2018.

Kevin has been married three times, most recently tying the knot with ex-wife Karen in 2015.

In spite of the separation, the pair have strived to keep their relationship professional as they continue to work together on Strictly Come Dancing as part of the team of professional dancers.

Although Karen and Kevin have remained friends, she has yet to comment on his alleged new ‘romance’ with Stacey.

The reports of the connection between Kevin and his former celebrity dance partner Stacey broke when her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott, 30, revealed details about their relationship in a shocking interview with the Mail on Sunday.

Referring to Kevin as “a slippery snake – a proper rat”, Sam said that he suspected that something may have been wrong when he noticed a text from the dancer appear on the documentary filmmaker’s phone.

Sam told the publication that the relationship between the two then continued to spiral over Christmas last year, after Stacey triumphantly won Strictly Come Dancing with Kevin by her side, he recalled: “I know we’re not falling into each other’s arms but I don’t know why. Why are we not having a nice Christmas?”

Following Sam’s explosive comments, Stacey took to Twitter to dismiss some of the claims that have been made in the aftermath of his interview as “utter nonsense.”

She wrote to her 282,000 followers: “Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story.

“I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here.

“Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward.”(sic)

Kevin also appeared to break his silence on the tumultuous stories about his private life.

According to the Daily Mirror, the star told audiences at the opening night of Burn The Floor: In the last couple of years I’ve seen massive upheaval in my personal life and it hasn’t always been easy.

“There have been a lot of things thrown at me. At times I’ve struggled.

“And the times I’ve struggled and I was in a bit of a rut I didn’t know what to do.”
