OnePlus 7 is the presumed name for the Chinese tech giant’s newest handset that will succeed the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 7 has been rumoured to radically break away from previous tradition by releasing in multiple models.

In addition to a standard OnePlus 7, the product has also been tipped to arrive in two other variants dubbed the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G respectively.

Alleged renders of the standard OnePlus 7 recently surfaced courtesy of Pricebaba and OnLeaks; the device was displayed looking incredibly similar to the OnePlus 6T.

That is because the hardware was shown flaunting a similar all-screen design to its predecessor with a teardrop-shaped notch at the top.

Moreover, the build of the product was also displayed remarkably familiar.

OnLeaks has declared the OnePlus 7 will come with a 6.4-inch display which, if accurate, would be practically the same size as the 6.41-inch screen offered by the OnePlus 6T.

However, the outlet said the OnePlus 7 would differ from its predecessor in the camera department.

More specifically, it was claimed the OnePlus 7 will come with a 48-megapixel primary camera that will be accompanied by a secondary lens.

For comparison purposes, the OnePlus 6T arrived with a dual camera system comprised of a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary module.

Internally, the OnePlus 7 is expected to come with refreshed components in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor.

Overall though, rumours and renders have suggested the OnePlus 7 will be an extremely incremental update from the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 7 has been tipped to present more substantial changes and appears to have just been unmasked by new case leaks from Olixar.

Appearing on MobileFun, the alleged renders show the OnePlus 7 Pro with a triple-camera system on its rear and an all-screen design on its front, as has been previously rumoured.

The hardware was also shown with a pop-up selfie camera that appears to have been designed to help the hardware achieve its almost bezel-free aesthetic.

Most notably, the images appeared to out some of the colour schemes the OnePlus 7 Pro could flaunt on its rear.

A stunning purple gradient finish was displayed that oozed tones of purple, black and blue.

Additionally, a dark green colour was also shown in a similarly gradient coating.

OnLeaks has emphasised the OnePlus 7 will arrive with a huge 6.64-inch curved display and feature a triple-camera system comprised of a standard, telephoto and ultra wide-angle sensor.

If true, the Pro model could present fans of the Shenzhen-based firm with a substantial camera upgrade from the OnePlus 6T.

Teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal has declared the OnePlus 7 Pro’s screen will have a refresh rate of 90hz.

Most smartphones come with a refresh rate of 60hz – the figure offered represents how many times a display refreshes per second.

The OnePlus 7 Pro’s claimed higher figure could mean navigating the hardware could be much smoother than on any of its competitors.

OnePlus founder and CEO, Pete Lau, recently hinted such a feature is set to arrive on Twitter.

He said: “Excited to share the next product from OnePlus will unleash a new era of Fast and Smooth.

“Especially Smooth! Smooth is more challenging than Fast – a true test of hardware and software.

“The new product is just beautiful – I can’t wait for you to see it!”

Not much is known about the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G – however it is expected the hardware will be very similar to the regular OnePlus 7 Pro in terms of its build and features but have the added ability of delivering 5G connectivity.

While the swathe of leaks about the OnePlus 7 series appear to have outed some of its best features, it is worth noting no details have been officially confirmed by the Chinese tech behemoth.

OnePlus has been rumoured to launch its next smartphone on May 14.
