Neil Jones got up to mischief this morning and documented everything on Instagram, and it was his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Oti Mabuse who drew the short straw. The dancer had first revealed that the BBC pros were very busy despite it being Easter weekend, while he gave a glimpse of what goes on behind-the-scenes in rehearsals. The 36-year-old light-heartedly targeted The Greatest Dancer judge as she made the most of the warm weather. As well as saying sorry, he was left questioning whether the South African performer, 28, “still loved him”.
Neil had first been seen carrying a cup of water outside while holding a finger to his lips and smiling cheekily at the camera.
He then opted to place the drink on Oti’s back as she relaxed on the grass, face-down on a jacket.
In the series of short clips, she seemed oblivious to what he was doing, before it cut to her attempting to take off her damp, pink jumper.
Captioned with three crying with laugher emojis, Neil seemed happy with his naughty deed however she remained worryingly quiet.
“I’m sorry Oti, did I get you wet?” he asked, as he walked towards her while her top’s wet stain could clearly be seen.
“Lets see how wet you are…” he continued, panning the camera around to her soaking black gym top.
“Can you get me a tissue please?” Oti asked him, sounding a little disgruntled as he failed to immediately help.
“I’ll go get you tissues,” he said. “Oti… do you still love me?”
The small screen favourite told him: “No!” but he then quipped: “Oti, do you still love me?”
Earlier in the day, Neil had updated his 165,000 followers on how he was spending the Bank Holiday.
“Happy Easter weekend everyone,” he said. “So we don’t get the weekend off, no. We’re off to pro rehearsals right now, well I am [and] so are the others.
“I like to take the train and I’m on my way there now, and allergies are playing up today.”
He added: “But tomorrow, Urban Ballroom is back on, so come and join me at 11.30am. We’re gong to have a fun one – come and join in.”
Meanwhile, it wasn’t an ordinary training session as it was also Karen Clifton’s 37th birthday.
Fellow pro AJ Pritchard shared a clip of her being given her cake while also joined by the likes of Dianne Buswell and Giovanni Pernice.
Neil was seen chanting in the background while filming her big moment, which was also watched by Gorka Marquez.
