Game of Thrones season 8: Jon Snow to die as star REVEALS huge mistake?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Game of Thrones season eight, episode one.

Game of Thrones season one saw Jon Snow sent off to the Night’s Watch and was forced to grow up in horrific, brutal conditions.

Scenes at the Night’s Watch shaped the man he became and may yet see him claim the Iron Throne.

Now, Jon Snow star Kit Harington has revealed the crushing mistake that has caused his character to be changed forever in season one of the HBO series.

On Youtube series The Cast Remembers, which is produced by Game of Thrones, he has revealed: “If I was to go back in time and give Jon some advice, I would say take it from me, don’t go to the Night’s Watch.

“You are going to go through hell and you will be really scarred by the end of it.

“Go and get on a boat and go to old town, go find a nice wife and a child and set up shop there.”

Kit clearly has a strong love for Jon and would love to save him for the fate that befalls him.

Is he teasing his character will ultimately die in season eight and he would have been better settling down with a wife for an easy life?

The Night’s Watch played a huge part in making him into the soldier he is in season eight, but he experienced so much in his time there.

He was famously betrayed from within the Night’s Watch and repeatably stabbed until he died in season five.

However, the character was brought back to life in shocking scenes and delighted fans who were devastated after his death.

He then left the Night’s Watch in season six, so it is understandable Kit wished he had never gone.

His life at the Night Watch also meant he was stranded from his family and been absent from so many traumatic and emotional events.

Episode one of season eight saw him reunite with siblings Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright).

It is not the first time he has admitted fearing mistakes could lead to his season eight downfall.

He recently revealed on The Graham Norton Show: “There are some incredible sequences (in season eight), but I’ve woken up in the middle of the night recently thinking, ‘What if, after eight seasons, we’ve mucked it up!’”

Jon found out in the season eight premiere he was actually a Targaryen and related to his lover Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

In the Youtube programme he also admits his favourite star to work with was Rose Leslie who played Ygritte. This is unexpected seen as she is the star’s wife.

He said: “There was something really special about working with Rose. She is one of the best actors I’ve worked with. We really had great chemistry.”

Game of Thrones season eight continues next Sunday on HBO and Sky Atlantic on Monday at 2am.
